Simply Scripture Team - Founder Sheryl

Meet Sheryl, Founder of Simply Scripture

I like campfires, traveling , long walks and good home-cookin’ around our family table.

If you like hanging out with a normal Jesus-loving, slightly feisty but contagiously happy, mid-life chic-we will have a great time together.

I am madly in love with my high school sweetheart and incredible farmer of thirty-plus years. My mama heart walks outside my body in the form of six amazing grown kids and their littles. I love living on our mid-west family farm, playing with piles of my golden retriever puppies and enjoying the great outdoors.

I never imagined this home-schooling mama would eventually become an author and speaker, but apparently the Lord did. In 2016, He graced me with the vision for Simply Scripture as a way to share the gospel and help women discover their identity in Christ. Since then, I have written numerous blog posts, Bible studies, and devotionals while speaking to thousands of women around the country through online Bible study.

If you are ready to join an imperfect farmer’s wife in a real-life journey with Jesus, I would love for you to stick around and walk this thing out with me. Are you ready?

Well, it looks like I made a new friend, and I’m glad you are here!

How To Pray Boldly

We clasp our hands together and drop to our knees in prayer only to be hit in the face with awkward silence. Our goal is to pray boldly, but instead our prayers sound weak, wimpy, and disconnected. Instead of prayer making us feel heard and comforted, it leaves us feeling powerless before God and still…
