The Power of Christ In You
Have you ever struggled with feeling powerless as a Christian? Maybe it’s a general feeling of weakness or an angst you can’t put your finger on, but you feel powerless to walk in faith. Are you worried that God will love you one day and not the next? What is the power of Christ in You and what does it mean to be in Christ? The power of Christ in you is a reality God wants each of us to see throughout Scripture. When you can grasp the power of Christ living in you and practically apply that truth to your life, it will result in living an abundant life regardless of your situation.
What does it mean to have the power of Christ in you?
You are in Christ and Christ is in you. It is a mutual relationship which was initiated by your Heavenly Father before the foundation of the world, and your spirit was awakened to that reality at some point in your life. You accepted Christ and Christ accepted you.
Your Heavenly Father gave you a precious gift when Jesus was crucified, resurrected, and ascended into heaven. He sent the Holy Spirit to live inside of you and promises to reside there forever. (John 14:16) The very power which raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in you. (Romans 8:11) Those two powerful truths are promises from God that are unchanging and irrevocable.
He will never look at you as an unfinished project or cast you off as unwanted. God is enthralled with your beauty and He loves to be with you. He is forever committed to your flourishing and has a vested interest in conforming you into the image of Christ.
How? He accomplishes it through the power of Christ in you. The Holy Spirit dwells in you and changes you from the inside out.
Knowing the power of Christ permanently resides in you, and will never leave or forsake you is critical to your faith journey. Who would trust a God who would love you one minute and discard you the next? Nobody. God can be trusted and taken at His word. It will be as God has said regardless of your current circumstances.
You have a privileged and irrevocable position as a child of the Most High King to operate in His calling and gifting.

You are not powerless. In fact, demons shake when you mention the name of Jesus, because he knows Christ lives in you. You are God’s mouthpiece to spread light and life. Satan must flee from you because of Christ’s power living inside of you. It is the power of Jesus in you which causes prayers to be heard, the gospel to be preached, and for lives to change.
He gets the glory as you choose to obey and co-labor with Him.
Did you know that the angels marvel at the thought of Christ living in you?
“As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them they they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven–things into which the angels long to look.” ~1 Peter 1:10-13
Prophets, priests, and kings desired to see the day when God would come down and put on human skin. They longed to see the face of their Messiah. But their longing was more than just for their eyes to see Him, it was for you to see Him as well. They were resilient and diligent in the face of adversity knowing their belief and work was not in vain. They looked back at the faithful generations before them and envisioned the generations in the future that would come to see, know, and experience the long-awaited Messiah.
The generations before us knew the power that would come when Jesus Christ would enter the human scene. They were faithful, so your faith would be made a reality. They devoted their lives and many were martyred so you could have a Bible and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Angels marvel at the power living in you and eagerly wait in anticipation of salvation’s plan to fully operate in your life. You matter to God.
Angels can’t know what it feels like to be saved, rescued, or redeemed; but you can. That’s power.
I can’t imagine the thunder of angel wings, the songs of saints in glory, and the praises of heaven over one sinner who repents.
Scripture rings true. The power of Christ in you secured a sinner and made you a saint. Is there anything more powerful?
All of heaven marvels at the power of Christ in you. You are a priceless treasure in God’s eyes because you are worthy to carry His name.
And you, O child of God, can straighten your crown and walk in victory today because all of heaven is cheering you on.
